Birthday Book Celebrations 

We love to celebrate birthdays in Room 8! Parents are welcome to join us for a short 10 minute classroom celebration. Please send in a note a few days before your child's birthday so I can confirm a time that is convenient for us both. This year, my class will be celebrating birthdays in a special way. In lieu of cupcakes or other treats, we will be having Birthday Book Celebrations. The birthday child can select a favorite story from home for Mom or Dad to read during this celebration. These celebrations are a fun way to foster the joy of reading in first grade! Please note that summer birthdays will be celebrated in June.
