It's been a great start to the school year!  This year in Room 9 our theme is "Let Your Awesome Shine" and we will really been working hard towards building a strong classroom community. The kiddos are very excited!  Just about every week you will also receive our newsletter.  This year it's called "What's Bruin In Room 9".  At the end of each day the kiddos share their thoughts on what they'd like for you parents to know about our school day.  This newsletter is emailed so please be sure to let me know if your email address changes.  I do my best to get the newsletter out to you by Friday night....but on occasion it might not make it to you quite on time....thanks to my little guys here at home!   

Just a few housekeeping items....if your kiddo has a change in dismissal routine please send in a note.  Try to have your kiddo wear sneakers on Tuesday/Thursday for Physical Education.  When your kiddo has a birthday approaching I will send you an invite to come in and read a story to the class...we can work out a mutual day/time that works. (Summer birthdays are celebrated in June.)  Also I know that "fidget spinners" are popular with the kiddos and several kiddos have asked if they can take them to school.  Last year I implemented a rule that no fidget spinners can come to room 9.  There were just so many getting lost or given away and also causing distractions so I'm going to keep that as the norm this year. Thanks for your cooperation with that!  I check my email and voicemail before and after school.  I'm working on trying to update the voicemail message on the class phone....thanks for your patience with that!
