Policies

Birthdays:

To keep birthday parties fair, healthy, and safe, we will have snack-free birthday celebrations.  When parents come in for the celebration, they may bring a small goodie bag for each student instead of food.  We have 22 students this year.   Some ideas include pencils, erasers, goody-bag favors, etc.  I do not want parents to spend any more money than if they were baking cupcakes.  You also will be reading a special book that your child has selected at home to share with the class during the party.  This is a special time for the entire class.  The party will last approximately 15-20 minutes.

Dismissal Notes:

It is important that you send in a note with your child about any change in their dismissal routine.  If your child does different things on different days (example: pick up Fridays, bus on Mondays, etc.) you may write one note with the weekly information that will serve as a yearlong note.  Notes are also required for clubs, activities, and SACC.  If you do send an email to me about pick ups please make sure you also inform the office as I may not receive the email in time or I may not be in that day.

Homework:

You should expect that your child will have some type of homework Monday -Thursday. I encourage you to set up with your child a scheduled time for homework each day.   Please check your child's homework nightly.  If you notice that your child is not able to do an assignment on his or her own, please send an email or write me a note on the assignment.
