Education: I received my undergraduate degree in Special Education at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT and I earned my masters degree at Framingham State University Framingham, MA in Education. I am dually certified to teach in both general education and in special education classrooms. I am certified in the Wilson Reading Program as well as the Project Read Written Expression programs. Experience: I have been at the Norfolk Public Schools for fourteen years. I worked two years as a Developmental Reading Teacher and eleven years as a fifth grade resource teacher at the Freeman Kennedy School. I joined the H.O.D. resource staff three years ago. Family: I have been married to my husband Joe for 28 years. We have two beautiful children, Joe and Kelly. My son is working in Boston and my daughter is about to graduate from UMASS in the spring. As a family we love to travel and explore new places. My daughter took a semester in Chile in the Fall 2013 and we were able to visit and hike the W trail in the Torres del Paine (photo on main page). It was one of the most breath taking places I have ever seen! |
