As school psychologist, I evaluate students to determine their learning style and to get a better understanding of their cognitive ability and social-emotional needs. School psychologists also consult with teachers in order to support their efforts in the classroom. In addition, the school psychologist teaches students social skills, counsel those who are experiencing social or emotional challenges that disrupt their ability to concentrate on their school work.
